Join our Team as a Systems Engineer

About the role:
Join the team behind Wave, Gradwell’s cloud-based VoIP phone system for SMEs. As a Systems Engineer, you’ll help build and maintain scalable services that power features like call routing, reporting, and softphone integration. Wave is hosted on AWS and designed for high availability and remote access.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a real-time telecommunications platform, including RESTful APIs, running on Linux in the public cloud.

• Ensure performance and scalability of the system, including writing software in Java and Perl.

• Build and maintain a distributed Linux system using configuration management tools and treating infrastructure as code.

• Collaborate in Agile teams.

• Support CI/CD and infrastructure automation.

Required Skills:

• GNU/Linux (ideally Debian)

• AWS

• Any DVCS

• Object Oriented programming

• SQL

• Unit Testing

• Java (desirable)

• Perl (desirable)

• Asterisk, Kamailio (desirable)
