Location: West Sussex 4 days per week, London 1 day per week
Salary: £32,000 Per Annum
About the role:
We’re looking for an Outsource Engineer to deliver high‑quality onsite and remote support to our outsource clients. You’ll keep their systems running smoothly, solve technical issues, and work closely with key contacts to enhance their IT services. It’s a varied, hands‑on role where your expertise and customer focus make a real difference.
You’ll work four days per week at our West Sussex site, with up to one day occasionally required in London. London travel is included in the 7.5‑hour day, on‑site hours there are typically around 10am–3pm. On weeks without a London visit, you’ll spend all five days in West Sussex.
What makes you a great fit:
Strong MSP technical background; outsource experience helpful
Experience in L2 engineering in MSP terms
Confident troubleshooting across Microsoft technologies (365, Azure, Windows, Server, AD, Exchange, Hyper‑V, SQL)
Experience with VoIP telephony
Excellent communication, customer care and problem‑solving skills
Able to work independently, manage time well and adapt quickly
Team player with a can‑do attitude and strong business awareness
Full UK driving licence
GCSE Level 4+ in Maths and English
Desirable: ITIL Foundation, MCP, MCSA or similar certifications
Key responsibilities:
Provide onsite and remote support on a rota basis
Maintain hardware, software and documentation to ensure availability and security
Monitor, prioritise and manage incoming tickets
Keep customers informed on progress, changes and outages
Resolve or escalate issues within SLAs
Identify opportunities to improve IT services and infrastructure
Deliver small onsite projects (workstations, applications, network hardware)
Manage your schedule and maintain accurate PSA entries
Support technologies including Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, 365, Azure, VMware/Hyper‑V, remote access solutions, LAN/WAN and VoIP
Work with 3rd‑party vendors on line‑of‑business applications
Diagnose and repair hardware faults
When not at an outsource client: complete maintenance visits and support the Service Desk
