About the Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and self-driven Finance Data Analyst to join our Finance Data & Analytics function. This role will play a critical part in supporting our FP&A team by owning finance data extraction, validation, reconciliation, reporting, and analysis.
Working closely with UK-based Finance stakeholders from our Gurgaon office, you'll take ownership of delivering accurate and reliable datasets, resolving complex data issues, automating reporting processes, and providing actionable insights that influence business decisions. Engage directly with Finance stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and deliver high-quality datasets with minimal supervision.
Query, extract and transform data from multiple sources including Google BigQuery, Salesforce, NetSuite, billing platforms, and other databases.
Build, maintain and optimise datasets used across the FP&A and wider Finance teams.
Perform detailed financial and operational analysis including variance analysis, trend analysis, forecasting support and key business driver analysis.
Own end-to-end reconciliations across CRM, ERP, billing, and finance systems, investigating discrepancies and agreeing corrective actions with data owners.
Design and implement robust data validation controls and quality assurance processes.
Automate recurring reporting, reconciliation, and data transformation activities using SQL, Python and other analytical tools.
Prepare reports, dashboards and presentations that clearly communicate findings and recommendations to Finance stakeholders.
Collaborate with the wider Data & Analytics team to ensure alignment with company-wide data processes and standards.
Document processes, business rules, data definitions and reconciliation methodologies for long-term sustainability.
Manage priorities independently while providing regular updates across UK and India teams.
